I have started to read Robinson Crusoe By Daniel Defoe. I have gotten through the first 3 chapters so far and I am enthralled in the tale!
It does bring up a couple of points to my mind:
In chapter 1, Robinson runs away to be on a ship, disregarding his parents refusal and discouragement. And as a result in chapters 2 and 3, he heartily wishes he could be safe back at home. This is like us! When we disobey God there will always be some sort of consequence in the end......even if we can't see it right away! Therefore we should strive to live like God would want us to, and not do things that we know are wrong.
In Genesis 4:7 it says:
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."
This is a wonderful verse in Scripture!
