When Writing Turns a very different direction~

Hmmm...Where Shall I begin? I love to write! That's all I can say in my defense, even if writing takes me to topics unbeknownst to the common person. Shall I tell you? But first dear readers, you must promise not to laugh! Do not even hiccough! Your face must remain it's usual state of emotionless attitude.

I must indeed tell you now, for I can see through your blank faces and realize that intense curiosity has stolen your features. Very well then, I must be courageous, and bear your disfavor quietly and discreetly.

I have been writing a research paper on.................

DA DA DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

DUCKS!!! But no my friends, not just any ordinary duck! The duck I write about must be special and unique. Yes, this duck is definitely unique, completely different from your mallard or "fairy tale white duck" one see's on the pages of your magazine.
What's it's name? Ladies and Gents, the spectacular species is: The Khaki Campbell!
Are you shocked? Does your face remain glued to these words in awe and astonishment? I do indeed hope no fainting has taken place opposite your screen.

Yes, you should and would be surprised I know, for it's not every writer who turns her pen to variable subjects like your famous farmyard animal.

What can I possibly have to write about a duck? Even I have not fully answered that question, but in the ducks behalf, do be polite, for this poor species is going to be a celebrity nowadays, though it has no beauty, form or grace like the ducks you could imagine. Picture a squatty, mud colored fowl waddling around acres of mud and lawn, and digesting every bug and succulent morsel to be found on the land. Delightful you say? Ahh....I just knew you'd understand.

But do not worry my friends, I am not in the process of purchasing anything connected with this poultry, or making a wet bird part of the family. I am simply interested in the best egg layer of it's kind--Because I am allergic to chicken eggs, I have turned my favorable attentions to the Khaki Campbell. And remember, it's not what's on the outside..but on the inside that really counts! :D :D ;D

So, I must now bid you farewell,

Miss Lizzy
