Today was one of those days....

Being a creative thinker, I have about 100 thoughts pouring through my head at once, and so  I am very absent minded, I don't look where I am going, I hear something thru one ear, and it goes right thru the other, I continuously drop things, etc... etc... etc... All of the above is what I've been trying to reverse lately, but you know you just have those days where all of your hard works seems to slide down the drain... :D
The day started well enough! I got up early, I saw my dear daddy leave for work, and on and on it went.
I had just cleaned out my duck coop that afternoon, and if you have ducks, then you very well know how very very messy they are. I usually remove their messy straw, and put it in the compost pile...But this particular day I just left the pile of dirty straw in the middle of their yard... (fully intending to remove it a little while later)
That night it was dark and raining when we went outside to put up our poultry. There is a short fence surrounding the duck coop, which I usually hop over to get inside to shut their little door... Know where I'm going with this?
Well this one evening I'm on my way over the fence... I begin to hop over and my leg catches...I trip....and I....
Fall flat on my face you wonder? Well...yes, but that's not the worst of it. I fell flat in the pile of very dirty duck straw. It was sopping wet from the rain, and covered in duck manure...and so was I.

Now I can laugh about it... thankfully, and thinking back it reminds me of something:
During our lifetime, there will be times when we fall flat on our face...into deeper and darker (in this case messier) places than we could ever imagine. But Christ is always right there!  You just need to "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again!" (It's a song...:D )

Psalm 37:23-24
The LORD makes firm the steps
   of the one who delights in him;
24 though he may stumble, he will not fall,
   for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

 Christ's Blessings,
Miss Lizzy

Oh, Lizzy! You are the spunky gal! I would say that you have officially been baptized into country livin', wouldn't you agree?!?!

Hope y'all had a blessed Thanksgiving. Today our Christmas decor boxes have replaced the Fall/Thanksgiving ones, and the beautiful tree y'all had to leave behind will be making its debut in our living area this week. For the first time since 1998, I think we will be able to hang all of our ornaments! We used to have a 9' tree, then had to downsize to a 7' one in '99, but had to leave that one behind, so now with cathedral ceilings once again, and your generous offer, me thinks the girls will have a great time! Please post pics of the interior of your new home!

Blessings,
Mrs. Marshall
