We're Home

We are officially home! Praise the Lord!!!!!
After 8 months of "back and forth's" the family is finally together, the old home sold, and the furniture moved up. It's been a struggle, but now we're at the home stretch, it's been worth it. We are just so glad to be HOME. Finally HOME.
We're all still trying to catch up on some sleep, as it's been non-stop since last Wednesday.... A Full day of moving and packing our two 26 foot Penske's and 12 foot trailer, A 14 hour trip that ended up taking almost 20 hours--- which included no sleeping stops, and only 20 min. after we got in, the moving truck was here and it was unpacking time! :-)
So I'm very groggy eyed as I type this.....

That's the real news, but to make this post more interesting I'll add some ordinary farm tidbits...sorry guys, no pictures yet!

1. Well, in one of the last posts I mentioned an adorable furry bundle that would remain anonymous for a short period of time..... Which is now revealed! I. GOT. A. DOG! A great white pyrenees who's only 10 months, and who weighs almost 100 lbs. She's big, she beautiful, and she's a PEARL!! No....seriously....she IS a pearl! Still not getting it? Okay.... Her name is Pearl. Very rightly named I think. :-) I'll post some pics. of my darlin' very shortly.

2. You know those pictures of the broilers I posted? All plump 27 of them? They will be going into the freezer very shortly, and if you can stomach the detailed pictures, I'll post some! :-) (Really, it's not that bad!)

3. We are also working on decorating the interior of our farm house! So I'll just have to post pictures of the finished rooms!

4. I got my ears pierced for my 16th B-day! NO...it did NOT hurt! :D :D

5. Winter is fast approaching! It's been getting so cold here that we've been having glorious fires in our HUGE fireplace that warms us from head to toe. It might be freezing....But winter is still one of my favorite seasons!

And last but not least, we have named a chicken...a  hen I mean. She is one of the only hens with a real darling personality.....unless you count being pecky or mean as a chicken's personality. She's cute, she's adorable, and her new name is Katherine. She follows us everywhere, let's us pick her up, eat's out of our hands, and is overall our new poultry favorite.

Christ's Blessings, and thanks everyone for their prayers and unbelievable support! :-)
