Our Tennessee Home is turning into a farm quicker than bunnies can run......Last night we made a new addition to our little circle of horses and dogs!! Little Ducklings and Baby Chicks will soon be waddling and pecking their way to our coops! Yes sir-ee we have just ordered 50 chickens and 10 adorable ducks from Murray McMurray Hatchery and we can't wait for their arrival!
I've been trying to do some research on Ducks....as they are completely new to me. It's going slowly, but rather well I must admit! They just look TOO cute!! I can't wait!
As to the chickens, well, 15 of those little guys are headed straight for the dinner plate....Sorry to speak so boldly, but tis indeed true!! We ordered the "Meat n' Egg" Combo, so some nice home grown chicken will be on the menu.
The rest of them though, well, their main job is to keep us supplied with farm fresh eggs....:-)
That about wraps up our poultry list! They arrive in April, so I'll supply you with plenty of photos and amusing tales!
