A Real Pickle~

First, let me start with the fact that our washing machine is broken....well, sorta....
To make a VERY long story short, you have to literally hold the washing machine door closed with all your might for the whole length of the wash to keep water from flooding the utility room.....I'm talking from previous experience....
So.....we couldn't do any laundry, and we only had 3 DRY towels.....

Goodness me.....If I knew what would have happened that night when I stepped foot in the bathroom...Uhh....Let's just say I "wouldn't" have stepped foot in the bathroom....

One measly little flush of the toilet and the whole house was in an uproar.....Water just spewing from underneath the toilet, overflowing water, bathroom flooding....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Hurry, Flurry, as we run downstairs....

.AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

There's water coming from the light fixtures in the kitchen!!! POTS, PANS, QUICK!!!!!!

Call our neighbors!! GET TOWELS!!!!! Wait! We HAVE no more towels!!!

GET THE MOP!!! GET A BUCKET!!! GET ME MORE TOWELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was the much heard battle cry of three panicky ladies....

Meanwhile Mother was on her hands and knees sopping up water in the bathroom, Laura was holding a towel beneath 3 light fixtures in the kitchen that were pouring with water, and I was running back and forth, upstairs and downstairs with anything that could soak up liquid......Tablecloths included

Mind you this is at 10:00 at night.......

As if it couldn't get any worse, I walk towards the sink, glass in hand, and lift that swively faucet......Fill my glass up full, Lift it to my lips.....

THE WATER IS YELLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! Completely undrinkable...

Amazing Neighbors arrive. They bring towels. They bring big fan. They are lifesavers. Tennessee neighbors are good.

No water for 2 days. We drive hillbilly mini van to neighbors. We fill water pitchers. Tennessee is good.

That, my friends sums up the past couple days!

Thankfully the water just cleared up, and is now drinkable, but it turns out we need a new toilet.......And this my friends, is real Tennessee living.....

Christ's Blessings,

Miss Lizzy
